Yellow Mellow is a lifestyle fashion brand offering one-of-a-kind nail art, tooth gems, jewelry, fashion accessories, and creative events. Through a wide range of customizable designs and services, customers are empowered to express their individuality and personal style without limits. While the brand is known for its whimsical, vibrant aesthetic, Yellow Mellow represents something deeper: a commitment to creativity, growth, and community.
Yellow Mellow began as the passion project of its founder, Christy Liu, during the pandemic. After teaching herself how to do nails and nail art, she began sharing her work with others through intricately hand-painted press-on sets. She was pleasantly surprised to discover how many people resonated with her maximalist, expressive nail art, and was inspired to take Yellow Mellow further, expanding into client appointments, pop-up markets, tooth gem services, and new products like jewelry and accessories.
What began as a small one-woman press-on nail brand in 2020 has now grown into a multi-faceted creative business with a small team. After building a strong foundation online and at markets, Yellow Mellow reached a major milestone in July 2025, opening its first storefront on Queen Street in downtown Toronto. The physical space has allowed the brand to go beyond products into workshops, events, and in-person experiences that bring creatives and customers together.
